Inter-Lutheran Files 1962-1987; 1972-1987.

The records were collected by William G. Rusch, director for ecumenical relations of the Division for World Mission and Ecumenism from 1979-1987. They deal exclusively with inter-Lutheran relationships. The agencies included are the Lutheran Council in the USA (LCUSA), the Lutheran World Federation (LWF), Lutheran World Ministries (LWM), and Lutheran World Relief (LWR). In addition to the articles of incorporation and some general files, the LCUSA files include several files each on its Division of Theological Studies, of which Rusch was a standing committee member, and a study of the historic episcopate. LWF files also include general files as well as files on its Department of Church Cooperation and its Department of World Service (DWS). The DWS files chronicle the work of a group called Churches Drought Action in Africa (CDAA). LWM and LWR files are minimal and general.
